Fauda is an Israeli television series that follows Doron, a commander in the Mista'arvim unit, and his team as they pursue a Hamas arch-terrorist known as "The Panther". Eighteen months prior to the start of the series, Doron and his unit killed The Panther, however, the terrorist is revealed to still be alive and the team must go undercover to stop him. The team discovers that The Panther has a plan to detonate sarin nerve gas in a synagogue, which will cause Israel to retaliate with force and commit war crimes. The team successfully foils the plan, but not without casualties. In the end, The Panther is killed by his own right-hand man, and Doron and the team return home with a sense of accomplishment.
