The True Story Behind Alias Grace

Alias Grace is a Canadian-American television miniseries, based on the novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood. The show stars Sarah Gadon as Grace Marks, a young Irish immigrant and domestic servant in Upper Canada who is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. The series follows Grace as she recounts her story to a psychiatrist and explores the events that led up to her incarceration.

Alias Grace was met with critical acclaim, with many praising Gadon's performance and the show's exploration of gender and power. The show was nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. It also won two Canadian Screen Awards for Best Limited Series or Program and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Gadon).
