Move to Heaven is a socially conscious Netflix Korean drama starring Lee Je-hoon and Ji Jin-hee. It follows the story of Han Geu-roo, a 20 year-old with Asperger's Syndrome, and his father Han Jeong-u, who runs a trauma cleaning company called "Move to Heaven". After Jeong-u's sudden death, Geu-roo is placed under the guardianship of an uncle, Jo Sang-goo, with whom he must live for three months and work for Move to Heaven in order to gain control of Jeong-u's assets. Throughout the series, Geu-roo and Sang-goo deal with various trauma cleaning jobs, which each reveal different societal issues that are relevant to contemporary South Korea. From overwork and income inequality to domestic violence and LGBTQ discrimination, Move to Heaven celebrates diversity and poignantly highlights the tragedies of a society where dying alone is becoming more common.
